In this lesson, there would be two parts, "How's It Going?" and "I am Great!".


First Part: How's It Going?

In the first part, we are going to learn how to ask people "how are you?" and also ways to respond to that. 

1. How are you? - Apa khabar? 

                            (that is if you are asking one person)
                            Apa khabar semua?
                            (that is if you are asking more than one person or a group, "semua" means all)
2. Fine, thanks. - Khabar baik, terima kasih.
                            Baik, terima kasih.
                            ("baik" means good, "terima kasih" means thank you)
3. I am happy. - Saya adalah gembira.
                         ("adalah" is verb "be" in English and is equivalent to is/am/are in English)
                        Saya gembira.
                         (usually we opt out the word "adalah", "gembira" means happy)
4. I am sad - Saya adalah sedih.
                    Saya sedih.
                    ("sedih" means sad)
5. Me too. - Saya juga /Aku juga
                   Saya pun / Aku pun (informal)
                   (both "juga" and "pun" means too but "pun" is informal)

Second Part: I am Great!

1. I am great! - Saya adalah bagus!
                        Saya bagus!
                        ("bagus" means great)
2. He / She is tired. - Dia adalah penat.
                                 Dia penat.
3. We are very happy. - Kami adalah sangat gembira. / Kita adalah sangat gembira.
                                     ("sangat" means very)
4. You are angry. - Awak adalah marah.
                             Awak marah.
                             ("marah" means angry)
5. They are bored. - Mereka adalah bosan.
                                Mereka bosan.
                                ("bosan" means bored)
